If you are looking for a career opportunity, we welcome you to this page. We care deeply about the formation of clinical staff and work to provide an atmosphere that supports the well-being of the souls of our clinical team as well as the formation of our call as therapists.

Dr. Dillon is committed to the ongoing learning and support of each member of Gateway’s team. She carefully discerns who to hire and asks that the person being hired has also discerned his/her draw to Gateway. We function as a team and want each person to be drawn to a willingness to be part of a greater whole.

Kathleen Richardson, who has only been with Gateway for a year, says, “Working at Gateway Psychological Services has been a great pleasure, both professionally and personally. Dr Dillon has a wealth of clinical knowledge and is the most generous person I know. At Gateway you feel peace and healing when you walk in the building. I am sad to be leaving and will miss my Gateway team members.” Kathleen moved from Texas in 2024 and joined Gateway’s staff from Rice University and Menninger Clinic. She made a decision to drive from the north side of Chicago to Aurora three days a week, just to be part of Gateway. This drive, along with her other responsibilites, became too much, and she was directed to a practice near her home which will be a perfect fit, and without the hours in the car. To that end, persons west of Oak Park are perhaps the best fit for our Aurora clinical site.

Please browze our website to see who is on staff and what we do, as well as our philosophies of care.

Please note that we are a faith based practice, which you can read about on our welcome page. We are especially thrilled that we have added a Spanish speaking therapist to our team.

Below is the job posting. Please pay attention to the desires of your heart as you read the description and call if you feel invited to apply.

Invitation to Join our Clinical Team

Charlotte Dillon, Ph.D., licensed clinical psychologist, is the owner of Gateway Psychological Services, Ltd., located near downtown Aurora, IL.  She is seeking to add at least two team members to her clinical staff.  BIPOC, Spanish as a second language, somatically and attachment trained, and willingness to make a two-year commitment are pluses.

Applicants must be licensed or eligible to be licensed by the state of Illinois with an LPC, LCPC, LSW, LCSW or Clinical Psychologist license.  Dr. Dillon and her staff can provide clinical experience and supervision leading to full licensure for LCPC, LCSW or Clinical Psychology.

Applicants must be teachable and willing to learn trauma informed psychotherapeutic interventions.  Dr. Dillon’s theoretical orientation is integrative with a heavy emphasis on somatic and attachment strategies, as informed by the neurosciences and theories of human development.   All of this is undergirded by the belief that we are created for relationship and how we treat one another matters.

Gateway currently has 4 fully licensed clinicians and one working toward full licensure.  In addition to weekly one on one supervision, we also meet weekly as a team to check in, take a few minutes for the care of our souls, and do group consultation.  Gateway participates in many insurance networks and has a practice manager who keeps track of billing and all things connected to the smooth running of the practice.  We offer hybrid sessions with a fully compliant HIPAA compliant zoom platform.  New employees must work toward 20-25 sessions per week, with at least half being in person.

Gateway services are in a charming older home which houses clinical offices for several psychotherapists.  Dr. Dillon has previously provided training opportunities for graduate students from Wheaton College’s psychology doctoral program, Loyola University Chicago’s pastoral counseling program, and the Illinois School of Professional Psychology.
