Kerry O'Donnell, Bill Utz, Tiffany Green, and Kathleen Gould Richardson, all pastoral counselors, join Dr. Charlotte Dillon and Dr. Marissa Happ as clinical staff at GPS. Together we work to provide services to the whole system, in that even when working with an individual, we always consider the relational network in which that person lives. We may also collaborate in that one of us may see an individual and another clinician the couple or family. We are committed to ongoing learning and support one another as a staff through regular study and inspiration for the care of our own bodies, minds and souls as we remain faithful in our calling.
“Be strong and courageous and get to work. Don’t be frightened by the size of the task, for the Lord my God is with you; He will not forsake you. He will see to it that everything is finished correctly.”

Gateway is very pleased to welcome Kathleen Gould Richardson to our clinical team, starting September 2nd. She comes from Houston with her husband and two children, and a plethora of clinical experience. Kathleen is passionate about assisting clients through a variety of life's issues, including major life transitions, trauma, and relationship issues. She also is skilled with interventions that address executive functioning concerns and emerging or ongoing mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, body image distress and OCD. Additionally, Kathleen brings training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which is unique to our team’s skill set and a welcome addition to our somatic skills for trauma interventions.
Kathleen received her BA in psychology from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas and her Master's in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University Chicago. Kathleen has worked in a university counseling center setting, an inpatient hospital setting, and now is excited to be returning to the Chicago area and to join the Gateway Psychological Services’ team.
While Kathleen does not speak a language other than English, she considers herself culturally informed with the Hispanic culture, and would especially welcome people who need a deep understanding of this culture, yet also speak English.
Kathleen’s age range for clients is 13 and above.
When Kathleen is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, training for a marathon, and enjoying a myriad of activities in the Chicagoland and surrounding suburban areas.
Kathleen will do in person sessions at Gateway on Tuesdays from 10-4, Fridays from 9-5, and Saturdays from 9-1, and will be available for virtual sessions via a HIPAA compliant zoom other days of the week. We are developing a waiting list for clients who would like to begin in September. If you would like to complete our registration process and be put on the waiting list, please call Dr. Dillon at (630) 896-2337. That time will be here before you know it.
