The clinicians at GPS embrace Richard Rohr's statement: “TRANSFORMATION is a kind of journey. A good journey starts with knowing where we are and being willing to go someplace else.” Our intention at Gateway is that our clients discover they do not have to walk life’s journey alone. For some, therapy may be a form of self-care and accountability, for others, a place for the deep work of healing. For all, the goal for any psycho-therapeutic relationship at GPS is to provide a secure and confidential space where one feels well treated and can find hope, insight and resources for body, mind and soul. We work from a heart centered foundation, grounded in our own life experiences and training.
Our work at GPS is faith based, in that we believe God’s Divine Activity of Grace and Love is intricately involved in all aspects of our lives. This may or may not be talked about in sessions, depending on the client’s needs and wishes. While each of us is Christian, all faiths, AND people without faith, are welcome at Gateway.
